Fast and Furious Cam Newton
While the Fast 8, the latest in the Fast and Furious franchise, is filming for 23 days in Cleveland, Ohio, production will have dozens of “stunt cars” and “hero cars” ripping through the streets. A “stunt car” has several jobs, crashing into police cars, piling up on other cars or being launched out of parking garages.
Meanwhile, the “hero car” which Vin Diesel would glare into camera with pained expressions, has a far better life span. It’s there for show.
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, possibly inspired by the Fast franchise, just finished a custom job on his 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass with 24k gold plating and interior with diamond stitching. It’s a badass car.
Completed by Terry Dobbs at Monster Customs in Marietta, Georgia, the car is sleek, sexy, muscular and brash. It’s Cam Newton. Full story here on ESPN.
